a glimpse into the past

"Tales From The Millinery Shop" takes place at the turn of the 19th century ... specifically from 1897 - 1924 in New York, the home of my paternal grandparents. They were an interracial couple; grandfather was African American and grandmother was Caucasian from Germany. My father, Theodore Roosevelt Hart ... named after President Roosevelt as you can see, was born in October 1904 in New York City. A live video gives us a glimpse of New York City in 1911, the year my father turned 7 years old. I find it extremely interesting that we get a chance to see the city as the way he saw it as a kid. To view the video, click: Books > Tales From The Millinery Shop > Scroll down to video. Your comments are welcomed. Enjoy!
